The Role:
The Project Services Manager is responsible for all aspects of the cost management, planning and scheduling, information management, cost estimating, change management, risk analysis, and reporting for the project. This requires the monitoring of actual costs and schedule progress activities against the project plan, approved expenditure budgets and AFEs, through all stages of the project. This position is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining key project controls processes, procedures and management systems as well as reporting.

Key Accountabilities
* Manages, supervise, organizes activities of the Project Services Team, including budgeting, cost accounting, cost control, change management, audit, systems, planning, scheduling, risk management through contingency drawdown, project and corporate reporting and any other related project service activities.
* Ensure the Project Services Team is staffed and organized with competent resources to meet safety, schedule, quality and budget requirements and targets.
* Exercises oversight of and interfaces with Contractors' project services and controls activities.
* Prepares high level and detailed annual and total budgets for all phases of the project life cycle
* Ensures the detailed monitoring and regular analysis of the Project Management, budget, actual and forecast expenditures and monthly cash flow phasing and manages cost estimating/forecasting activities including periodic project re-estimates and cost benchmark metrics.
* Ensure setup of EDM system for managing all controlled and managed documents are retained per DRM and readied for disposition at project completion.
* Manages AFE's and project funding requirements in accordance with relevant governance authority limitations.
* Implements software systems as required to support Project Services functions.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Minimum of 15 years of project services experience in major upstream projects or commensurate related experience,
* A relevant undergraduate qualification in a quantitative discipline such as economics, finance, commerce, engineering or any other applied science
* Technical competency in all Project Controls disciplines
* Proactive management and collaborative leadership skills. Highly developed inter-personnel skills to deal effectively with direct reports, peers, partners and contractors,
* Strong depth and breadth of knowledge of Project Controls area
*Familiar with the use of proprietary and custom computer software systems used for project management
* Demonstrated interpersonal/teambuilding skills,
* Analytical/technical skills with a practical approach to problem solving.
* Solves routine problems with no supervision,
* Adapts to significant changes, acquires new skills as needed, and deals with conflicting priorities,
* SAP proficiency
