The Role:
The Riser Engineer supports the SURF Package Lead and is responsible for delivery of the flexible pipe riser system through engineering, procurement, manufacture and testing, ensuring engineering deliverables and the delivered equipment meets Company and project requirements. They will also provide support during transportation, installation and pre-commissioning of the supplied riser system.

Key Accountabilities
* Oversee riser system global analysis and verification activities in FEED and detailed design
* Manage interfaces between subsea engineering, riser system supplier and FPSO turret mooring contractor
* Develop project specifications for the riser system incorporating industry standards and best practice and Company requirements
* Develop execute phase scopes of work for the supply of the riser system
* Assist in the evaluation and award of the riser system supply work scope, interfacing with stakeholders to reach the optimum project decision
* Manage the delivery of the riser system from the supplier ensuring safety, quality and technical integrity are maintained throughout the process

Key Responsibilities
* Day to day coordination of subsea FEED contractor riser system related activities including global dynamic riser and umbilical analysis, development of project specifications and interfacing with FPSO turret mooring contractor
* Review riser system related deliverables from the subsea FEED contractor and applicable engineering deliverables from the FPSO turret mooring contractor
* Ensure interfaces between the riser system and FPSO are addressed in an efficient and effective manner
* Contribute to riser system ITT preparation, evaluation and supplier selection
* Day to day coordination of the riser system supplier design, manufacturing, testing and delivery activities
* Ensure safe execution of the work by the riser system supplier and delivery within the agreed schedule and budget whilst maintaining quality and technical integrity throughout
* Achieve the required level of verification and assurance of the riser system to meet Company and project requirements
* Provide support to transportation and installation of the riser system by the T & I contractor
* Work collaboratively, positively and effectively as part of a multi-discipline Barossa subsea team to deliver a successful project outcome
* Monitor and report scope, schedule, cost and risk trends throughout the project

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Bachelor of Science degree in a directly relevant technical discipline from an accredited University or equivalent technical qualification
* Minimum 15 years of experience in the performance analysis, specification, design and manufacture of flexible pipe riser systems
* Requisite experience with the qualification, design and delivery of flexible pipe riser systems from FEED through manufacture, installation and pre-commissioning
* Understanding of current industry best practice riser system integrity management requirements
* Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of flexible pipe design, qualification processes and material selection
* Experience working with flexible pipe suppliers and interfacing with FPSO turret mooring contractors
* Site specific experience at FPSO yards for trial fits, integration testing and offshore for installation activities
* Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and contribute proactively in team environments
