The Role:
The SPS systems engineer is accountable for system-level aspects of the SPS design and ensuring delivery of an integrated system from the SEV. They will be responsible for design integration across the SPS sub-systems and between the SPS and other facilities infrastructure.

Key Accountabilities
* Deliver SPS architecture and system design that satisfies project functional and performance requirements
* Ensure project strategies and philosophies (e.g. reservoir management, commissioning, operating, IMR etc.) are supported by the SPS design
* Ensure system requirements are considered and addressed in system and sub-system designs and documentation
* Coordinate technical interfaces between SPS sub-systems to ensure efficient integration and optimal SPS design
* Coordinate technical interfaces with SURF, Pipeline, Operations, Wells, Subsurface and Topsides teams to ensure successful integration of the SPS into the facilities
* Manage technical risks associated with the SPS design
* Ensure the integrity and reliability of the SPS satisfies project requirements

Key Responsibilities
* SPS system design including flow assurance, thermal design, integrity management with assistance from the flow assurance engineer
* SPS reliability engineering including RAM analysis, FMECA and SIL engineering activities etc.
* Technical change control management
* Review SEV SPS system designs and documentation ensuring specifications and requirements are adhered to and provide company approvals where required
* Ensure system requirements are clearly documented and reflected in the sub-system (XT, SPCS, SWIS, Manifolds, Connectors) design and specifications
* Ensure alignment across the design of each SPS sub-system (codes/standards, design/test pressures etc.)
* Coordinate internal and external technical interfaces using the project interface system to achieve a successful resolution
* Ensure lessons learned both historical and current are implemented during project execution
* Collate and manage the system master equipment list ensuring the equipment scope of supply meets project requirements
* Collate and manage the system master document register ensuring the documentation received from the SEV meets project requirements
* Coordinate the distribution of design documentation for operations (DDFO) with the information management and operations teams
* Monitor independent third-party design verification, third party certification and regulatory compliance programs
* Provide SPS input to facility operating, commissioning, integrity monitoring and IMR philosophies/procedures
* Technical risk management including monitoring and reporting of risks identified through processes such as HAZIDs, HAZOPs, constructability reviews etc.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Bachelor of Science degree in a technical discipline from an accredited University or equivalent technical qualification
* Minimum 10 years of experience in the design and manufacture of subsea production systems
* Experience with delivering SPS equipment, from FEED through execution and into commissioning
* Experience working with SEVs
* Understanding of operational and maintenance requirements of an SPS
* Ability to clearly and concisely communicate technical information to technical and non-technical individuals using verbal and written mediums
* Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and contribute proactively in team environments
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-discipline SPS engineering team to deliver an integrated SPS
* Analytical/technical aptitude with a practical approach to problem solving
* Ability to work effectively and positively while dealing with uncertainty and conflicting priorities
