Subsea Pipeline Engineer

The Role:
The subsea pipeline engineer will report to the engineering lead and be part of a multidiscipline team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical design of subsea pipelines, spools, jumpers and appurtenances. You will also be required to provide fabrication, installation and commissioning support for the systems.

Key Accountabilities:
* Develop and manage engineering scopes of work in FEED and execute to achieve project requirements
* Interface with SURF and Export pipeline teams.
* Technical assurance of SPS package jumper and piping design.

Responsibilities:
* Provide expert technical direction for all aspects of pipeline and spool design through FEED and execute phases.
* Integrate with design teams undertaking SURF flowlines, export pipelines and spool design.
* Assist with technical evaluation of ITT packages.
* Monitor and report scope, schedule, cost and risk trends through the project phases.
* Provide technical review for SPS jumper and piping design.
* Provide assistance to procurement package leads to ensure that the quality and functional requirements of the design are achieved.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Bachelor of Engineering or higher, from an accredited university.
* Minimum 10 years of experience in the design and implementation of subsea pipeline and tie-in spool systems.
* Minimum 5 years experience in managing subsea engineering teams.
* Excellent working knowledge of all facets of subsea pipeline and spools design to the requirements of DNV OS-F101.
* Excellent knowledge of lateral buckling and walking design for CRA clad/lined flowlines and large bore export pipelines.
* Knowledge of material, linepipe and coatings drivers for design.
* Knowledge of drivers for ECA
* Knowledge of reel-lay and s-lay installation drivers for design.
* Experience managing interfaces between design, SPS and Installation contractors.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and contribute proactively in team environments.
* Analytical/technical aptitude with a practical approach to problem solving.
