The Role:
Focal point within the HSE team for the SSPL scope and support for the FPSO scope. This position is responsible for the management and implementation of technical safety activities throughout the FEL3 and execution phases related to the project facilities scope. Responsibilities include input into the review of the FSA and development of Safety Cases.

Key Accountabilities
* Manage the Technical Safety interface with SSPL contractor.
* Assist the FPSO team with Technical Safety support.
* SSPL and FPSO input into the Safety Cases for the Project.
* Support the development of HSE Management Systems for the field installation campaign.

Key Responsibilities
* Interact with BU technical safety SMEs to develop project technical safety requirements.
* Support the regulatory approval efforts on behalf of the project.
* Provide guidance and assistance to contractors in the implementation of project technical safety requirements.
* Participate in the review and evaluation of FPSO and SSPL contractors engineering deliverables for technical safety compliance.
* Provide necessary support and interface with Operations on technical safety matters during all phases of the projects.
* Participate in HAZOP, HAZID and system reviews.
* Act as a focal point for technical safety queries from Contractors and Operations.
* Act as a focal point for rectification of technical safety non-conformance in design and requests for deviations.
* Support the Systems Engineering & Interface Management process.
* Support the FPSO Technical Safety & Risk Engineer as required.
* Other duties as assigned by HSEQ Manager.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Engineering degree (or equivalent).
* 10+ years of major international offshore oil/gas project experience with emphasis on technical safety.
* Experience supporting safety case development and familiarity with the Australian safety case regime.
* Understanding of technical safety aspects in Subsea & FPSO design, operations and maintenance.
* Background in oil and gas facility process safety hazards analysis, process safety design and process safety related codes and standards.
* Technical competency in the field of Technical Safety Engineering.
* Good understanding and interpretation of ALARP.
