The Role:
To provide an efficient and effective service activities through:

The operation of warehousing activities, despatch, receipt, storage and supply of Materials & Packaging to the operating plants, necessary to satisfy production requirements, including the management of consignment stocks.

The operation receipt, storage and despatch of waste

To undertake general duties and support tasks that are seen to be within the scope of the incumbent's skills, knowledge and experience, and for which the job holder has been trained.

Normal working hours are based on a rolling 2 weeks Monday to Friday as follows:

0900 to 1700 / 07:00 to 15:00

Main Responsibilities

Warehouse Activity:
To supply to all production plants the requirements from stock necessary to meet the production plan, to ensure that supply is made accurately and on a timely basis, and to ensure that the principle of FIFO (First In First Out) is adhered to at all times.

To ensure that all receipts from the production function are correctly labelled and are in an acceptable condition.

To record and retrieve information using the Company's computer management system (SAP) and to ensure that all computer-related data transactions are conducted accurately and on time.

To identifying stock discrepancies and any other issues relating to the warehouse, and to report immediately for the attention of the Planning & Inventory Control Group Leader or deputy in their absence.

To ensure that physical stocks of all material are reconciled at the end of each reporting period, and that all materials stored are recorded in the Company's computer management system (SAP).

To take receipt of the Company's purchases and consignment stocks, including the unloading of vehicles, freight containers, tankers and isotankers, and to carry out inventory checks as required.

To ensure pick-lists are confirmed at least 24 hours in advance where practicably possible. To prepare loads for despatch by all modes of transport and ensure that all material are loaded safely, and to ensure that loads in freight containers are correctly secured and where applicable are loaded in accordance with ADR regulations including the placarding of freight containers and vehicles.

The preparation and adjustment of influent blends to required specification and maintaining production input which complies with the requirements of the Biological Treatment Plant.

To work with Plant Operators in the waste stream treatment areas and ensure batch sheets and associated EBP documentation are current and correct. To input waste movements and dispatches on SAP

To collect, check and store waste, including re-labelling. To be responsible for the waste bund, ensuring it is maintained in an orderly manner.

To prepare loads for off-site disposal and to ensure that loads comply with company procedures and Environmental Legislation. Documentation for waste movements are correct and comply with Duty of Care principles.

To charge containerised waste to nominated bulk storage tanks, ensuring correct documentation and also maintain a stock of empty IBC's ensuring they are stored in a tidy manner.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

Counterbalance Fork Lift Truck experience essential

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:

NVQ Level 2 in Warehousing preferred
