The Role:
We are currently recruiting for 3 new positions as a Claims Paralegal to provide support in the management of claims, disputes and legal proceedings. Joining an established legal team and reporting to the Legal Lead, the ideal candidate will be a motivated and proactive individual with a drive to meet obligations and commitments involved in the position. Your Oil and Gas background with previous experience in a similar role will enable you to hit the ground running and work well under pressure.

This is a Perth based position, on an initial 12 month contract.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Assisting with document and evidence management.
  • Conducting analysis of project information to support claim and dispute preparations for negotiations and formal disputes.
  • Preparation of claim files relating to individual CORs, claims and disputes, including enhancements required for arbitration preparations.
  • Retrieval of evidence and compilation of detailed chronologies.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with senior stakeholders and peers.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

  • Degree qualified, and has extensive experience in a claims and dispute environment within the Oil and Gas/Resources industry.
  • Advance Microsoft Office Suite experience.
  • Experience with SAP systems, Worksite, Ringtail and Coreworx will be highly advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a pressurised environment.
