The Role:
Our Client is currently searching for an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join the site based team in Darwin. The main objective of the role is to assist Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) commissioning leader to supervise the pre-commissioning and commissioning efforts to timely completion within approved budget while achieving the required quality, HSES and environment standards.

Other objectives include:
* Work with package engineering and construction teams for the review and approval of all Contractor deliverables, particularly for pre-commissioning and commissioning.
* Provide commissioning oversight during procedure, schedule & test report review.
* Support the review and swift resolution of site queries and technical deviation requests.
* Advise Contractor - Sub-contractor teams in developing maintenance plan (spare parts, consumables, equipment criticality) and ensure commissioning progress will be secured at every stage.
* Support CCPP team during Ready For Commissioning (RFC) / Ready For Start Up RFSU walk down and dossier review.
* Monitor all Heat Recovery System Generator (HRSG) - Utility boiler and Balance Of Plant (BOP) mechanical pre-commissioning and commissioning works, ensuring that it is carried out in accordance with the relevant Company and statutory requirements: pipe leak test
and first filling, BOP & HRSG chemical cleaning, utility boiler (UB) boiled out, steam blowing.
* Review documentation for HRSG - BOP chemical cleaning and steam / air blowing. Oversee activities with INP construction team under full completion.
* Coordinate and oversee HRSG & UB commissioning and start-up activities until those equipment are ready for performance test.
* Assist Contractor & Sub-contractor on boiler chemistry control.
* Attend / witness specific site testing and ensure proper technical reporting to line management.
* Develop an efficient reporting system to cover daily operation activities and keep tracking main events / issues with resolution follow-up, if required.
* Provide Contractor oversight and ensure project execution to HSSE standards and within quality, schedule and cost objectives.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
To be considered for this role you will hold at least a Degree (Mechanical Engineering) qualification and have demonstrated knowledge and experience in the following:
Minimum 10 years' experience in a related role, 5-10 years' experience in the Australian LNG sector with Client experience.
