The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Materials Management Lead to join a leading, global Oil & Gas company. This company is running one of Australia's largest LNG projects to date and has future plans to further expand their operations.

Main responsibilities include but will not be limited to:
Management and coordination of the activities described under the "Material Management" sub process area within the Supply Chain domain, namely:
Manage Inventory processes and systems.
Manage surplus material disposals process and systems.
Manage return to stock, approved items as required.
Manage company stock take requirements
Manage Materials Buyers and associated personal for the above activities.
Manage and be responsible for procurement and expediting duties to ensure availability of materials by required date
Interaction with freight forwarder and warehouse staff to ensure the appropriate freight and receiving outcomes.

Key Experience Requirements:
Extensive Procurement and Material Management experience, preferably in an Oil and Gas industry operational environment - Min 10 Years
Good understanding of Inventory, disposals, stock checking, cataloguing, quality control, logistics and warehousing principles
Experience in managing a small to middle size team of people
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
SAP experience
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Strong team working skills
Experience in reviewing material documentation
Ability to participate and effectively contribute to the overall communications with the organisation
Good communication skills, both oral and written.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Skills & Capabilities:
Superior skills and an excellent knowledge of Inventory Management processes, strategies, analysis and philosophies
Overall experience and knowledge of Materials Management principles
SAP skills (MM module) and an awareness of functions of the AP and PM Modules)
Thorough understanding of Sourcing and Procurement processes

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Recent Major Capital (Oil & Gas) Project Experience will be highly favourable in this instance.
Tertiary industry qualifications or degree preferable.
Demonstrate methodical and accurate work practices, combined with effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate and interface with company personnel, sub contractors and client representatives.
Proficiency in English (in both written and oral skills).
