The Role:
Member of the Finance team providing management accounting services for the Onshore Production team. This role provides internal reporting oversight with a focus on actual and budgeted costs and provides forecasting and reporting. Ensure a focus on continuous improvement inititives in th erole and that the onshore production team complies with company finance cost management practises.

Key Responsibilities:
* Period close; Receive journal and accrual inputs prepared by the offshore operatives and review to ensure accurate processing;
o Ensure integrity of processes
o Review reconciliation inputs prepared by the offshore Management Accounting team.
* Coordinate preparation of budget/forecast for Onshore Production teams for inclusion in the relevant Work Program and Budget documents which are submitted for approval
o Coordinate the annual budget in line with the guideline/ timetable and support the business to develop inputs for the budget and forecasts;
o Maintain foreign currency views and provide commentary on material differences
* Management reporting with the support of the offshore Management Accounting team:
o Maintain and improve effectiveness and efficiency of enterprise reporting suite to meet internal managers' requirements
o Deliver management reporting within six (6) business days of each period close
o Prepare suitable inputs to support asset approval and capitalisation.
* Improve the Business through analysis and review:
o Continuously review the activity cost flows to ensure there is an appropriate use of the cost methodology for each department and to ensure managers control their costs;
* Request, review and maintain master data.
* Support the development of Management Accounting Processes:
* Maintain reporting standards.
* Support audits and Tax team in preparation and analysis of financial data.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Undergraduate Degree in Accounting
* CA/CPA/CIMA (or similar international recognition).
* 5-7 years post-graduate experience
* 3-5 years' experience as a Costing/Management Accountant in diverse working environments
* Experience with SAP
* Experience working closely with Financial or Joint Venture Accounting team
* Seeks to optimise processes and demonstrates the aptitude to understand complex processes and the logic underpinning the design of those process.
* Good working knowledge of Australian tax regime.
