The Role:
Our client is currently looking for a Senior Project engineer Phase 2b to join their team on a long- term contract in Perth. Reporting to Phase 2b Engineering Manager, in this role you will handle the coordination of the updates of specifications, standards and philosophies during FEED (Define) stage in preparation for EPC (Execute). Also providing the engineering support as needed to the Phase 2b Engineering Manager.

Your primary responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Primarily the interface and focal point for coordination of the work with Engineering Contractor(s), the Technical
  • Authorities and the Phase 2b Team and in particular the Phase 2b Engineering Team.
  • Facilitate receipt of approvals for updates of the Specifications, Standards and Philosophies.
  • Identify Contractor(s) best suited for the workscope
  • Coordinate review of Lessons Learnt register and TQD register for relevance to specification, philosophy and standards updates
  • Achieve Technical Authority buy-in to scope of updates
  • Good working knowledge of industry standards and specifications - particularly in own discipline or field of expertise
  • Technical awareness across engineering disciplines - ability to judge relevance of lessons Learnt and TQD on particular Specifications
  • Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the Company policies and procedures.
  • Contractual awareness of implications related to nature of the specification/ standard/ philosophy updates.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering
  • Circa 10 years experience in oil and gas with the majority related to offshore
  • Microsoft Word and Excel skills
  • Excellent coordination and management of detailed work scopes
  • Ability to carefully track status of documents with the various stakeholders
  • Great communication skills
  • Capable of positively influencing team members, contractors and stakeholders
