The Role:
Our client is currently looking for a Senior T&I Marine Project Engineer to join their team on a long- term contract in Perth. Reporting to Transport and Installation Package Lead, in this role you will support the development and evaluate transportation and installation execution options and select preferred approach. Also offering project management support during the tendering process, reviewing and consolidating comments on technical documents and to provide interface management between installation contractor, module fabricators, marine warranty surveyor, contractors and facility operations.

Your primary responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures, ensuring the welfare of personnel and the protection of assets and the environment at all times.
  • Focal point for T&I interfaces and technical queries. Ensure accurate and timely flow of information between contractors and other stakeholders.
  • Gain approvals for installation requirements from various stakeholders, marine warranty, class, operations and JVP
  • Conceptual design review of contractor deliverables and seek expert advice as part of company review and commenting cycles.
  • Review offshore simulations analysis (frequency and time domain)
  • Participate in Risk Assessments and provide quantitative analysis where required to justify deviations from normal practice
  • Provide technical input to scope of work and installation specifications for ITT's
  • Give technical input to tender evaluation
  • Excellent technical writing skills
  • Enthusiastic attitude capable of positively influencing the team and various contractors and suppliers

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

  • BC/MS in Engineering
  • Circa 7 years' experience in oil and gas offshore installation activities (offshore lifting, loadout, transport)
  • Background in structural engineering or naval architecture
  • Experience in contracts management and technical writing

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:

  • Useful to have experience using software SACS, MATLAB and an offshore hydrodynamics package such as AQWA, SESAM, LIFTSIM, ANYSIM, MOSES.
