The Role:
The Commissioning Lead will be responsible for the planning and execution of the project commissioning and handover plan to operations. This individual will play a key role in delivering the implementation and ownership of the client's Guidance on Certification (GOC) process.

ACCOUNTABILITIES: The duties and responsibilities for this role are as follows: - Lead engineering contractors and vendors to develop and deliver commissioning and de-commissioning plans for all subsea temporary and permanent production systems; - Execute offshore commissioning and de-commissioning plans; - Develop startup plans and provide engineering support to operations during startup. - Support the Preservation Engineer in ensuring all equipment is adequately stored and preserved for future use; - Coordinate the capture and sharing of best practices and lessons learned within the business unit and across CLIENT; - Ensure that the GOC processes are in place for the safe and cost effective startups for multiple projects at any given time. The projects range in size from small repairs to new field developments requiring sealift modules; - Manage the implementation of and then take ownership of the GOC process for all assigned projects and to assist operations in commissioning and startups as required; - Act as a role model to promote a robust health, safety, security and environment (HSSE) culture in the project community; - Conduct advanced safety audits and other safety observations to help achieve a zero-incident culture; - Work with engineering contractors to ensure that they understand and perform the required integration of the system breakdown into engineering work packages; - Ensure that engineering contractors develop handover testing documentation; - Ensure that off-site fabrication sites understand and perform GOC requirements for testing and documentation; - Ensure that on-site construction management teams and construction and functional checkout contractors understand and perform GOC requirements for testing, documentation and turnover; - Ensure that operations understand the GOC process and requirements; - Assist operations with commissioning and startups as required; - Participate in engineering package reviews of projects and provide constructive input to the design team; - Promote a team culture between the field and off-site project team members and contractors; - Encourage contractors and operations personnel to review the design package early in the course of projects to eliminate rework; - Anticipate and resolve problems encountered in the field to eliminate costly rework or retesting; - Assist project leaders and construction engineers with preparing cost estimates and schedules; - Work as part of the Projects Team to ensure smooth coordination among off-site fabricators regarding construction, checkout and commissioning of all projects; - Ensure turnover of completed projects through CLIENT's GOC process; - Work with on-site construction management teams to ensure that the contractor and operations have the required resources to complete the checkout and commissioning in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, applicants must have the following qualifications: - Experience working in engineering, project management or construction management roles; - Strong project knowledge, including knowledge of cost control cost reporting, and project schedule management; - Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering discipline;

In addition to the required qualifications, the successful applicant is likely to be able to demonstrate the following: - Continuing B2education development in project management; - Demonstrated track record for health, safety, security and environment (HSSE) leadership and delivery; - Knowledge of commissioning turnover systems; - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
