The Role:
An important role in the company reporting directly to the Integrated Planning Manager and working closely with the Integrated Operations Planning Lead.
The key purpose of this role is to assess, develop and execute new production processes and structures to maximise the value of APLNG's operating portfolios.
The Demand and supply engineer works in collaboration with planning and performance managers, asset services and supply, finance and planning to ensure the success of the whole of the Integrated Gas division.

Production Management
* Advising monthly production performance and underlying facility and field drivers of production for portfolio (2 Bcf/day, 700PJ/year) decisions
* Analyse and report on the divisions of actual and forecast information to facilitate monthly and quarterly management review of production, variance analysis and performance.
* Assessing, reporting and communicating (to board level) key production driver trends and insights including subsurface midterm deliverability and impact of well online re-schedules
* Support the maturation of production (improvement project) frameworks and processes including forecasting, monitoring, risk management, constraint management, and work management processes and interfaces to drive the Upstream Asset portfolio.
* Oversee the on-going implementation of planning system updates, ensuring functionality is regularly reviewed. Recommend proposed improvements to ensure optimal user experience and efficiency.

People Management
* Work with a multidiscipline team including planners, schedulers, facility managers and operators
* Ensure the health and safety for all employees, contractors and service providers through appropriate competencies, processes and compliance.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Background/experience
* 7+ years experience in upstream oil and gas with substantial production advisory/analysis
* A deep understanding of production management of upstream oil & gas in Australia and globally.

Specific job skills
* Demonstrated Enersight and/or Palantir system experience
* Demonstrated process mindset
* Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver presentations at board level.
* Experience presenting and communicating at senior management level
* Strong track record in risk management in high risk industries.
* An understanding of all aspects of the oil and gas value chain from exploration, and appraisal through to development and operations
* Highly developed communication and people skills

Required mindset and behaviours
* Strong health safety and environmental focus
* Preference to have top 4 consulting experience.
* Ability to solve complex process problems and be able to demonstrate critical thinking.
* Demonstrated ability to drive

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Formal tertiary qualification preferably Engineering.
