We are looking for an experienced EI&C Technician/Lead to join our clients Power Plant team in North Queensland.

This role will be a permanent full-time role and will require relocating to a regional location.


You will have the opportunity to manage a small maintenance team comprising of, EI&C disciplines, with the responsibility of managing the daily maintenance requirements of the plant and equipment at the Power Station.
Your role will be to ensure that plant and equipment is maintained safely and efficiently, whilst ensuring your team's safety and safeguarding the technical, environmental and commercial integrity of the asset at all times.

Role:
* Assist in planning and scheduling of routine and outage maintenance activities and participate in major and minor plant and equipment outages, ensuring safe working practices and procedures are adhered to within the work area
* Work with and support the Production to ensure all work is scheduled in an efficient manner with minimal impact to the Business
* Provide technical advice to both the Operations and Maintenance Teams.
* Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities for processes/systems and work practices
* Investigate technical problems relating to critical plant, identifies, diagnose and report defects within the plant utilising the Computerised Maintenance Management system. Preparing work method statements, risk assessment and / or plant operating instructions, ensuring the required level of maintenance to asset is achieved and records maintained


Requirements:
* Electrical & Instrumentation/Control Trade qualification
* Possess extensive experience in the maintenance of Gas/Steam Turbine Generation plants, boilers, and associated equipment, either within the power generation industry or similar heavy engineering industry.
* Understanding of equipment control and processes within a power plant, such equipment should include gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, transformers, boilers, pumps, compressors, control valves etc.
* Experience working with and maintaining DCS and PLC systems
* Extensive experience calibrating and testing plant instrumentation
* Good knowledge of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS)
* Detailed understanding of condition monitoring methods used with a power plant environment
* Planning and scheduling maintenance activities
* Working with a computerised Maintenance Management system (CMMS) and proficiency with MS Office Suite
* Advanced computer skills
* Hold a "C" Class Drivers Licence
