The Role:
Reporting in the Project Director, the Commercial Manager will be responsible for managing the complete contract management process from pre-contract phase through to project-execution, acting as point of contact for any contractual matters. This will involve developing a strong and experienced commercial team including planning, recruitment, training and performance to ensure suitability and delivery across a portfolio of tenders and contracts for engineering projects in the Nuclear industry both now, and in the future.

This role will include the following:

* Work with assigned bid teams to analyse contract terms and conditions proposed by customers.
* Drafting, evaluation, negotiation and guidance on confidentiality agreements, cooperation agreements with partners, contracts with customers, requests for contract/agreement amendments.
* Assuring commercial accuracy and appropriateness to ensure proposals are aligned to policies and procedures.
* Identifying any potential commercial risks.
* Proposing possible deviations to mitigate any contractual or economic risk.
* Minimising risks and maximising opportunities during contract execution phase
* Preparation of a detailed Risk Analysis for each tender.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
o Ideally Degree qualified, with extensive commercial experience working for EPC organisations within a highly regulated industry
o Extensive experience developing complex tenders within multi-disciplined bid teams
o Specific experience in dealing with contractual matters and interfacing with legal departments
o Experience with most common forms of contract (NEC & FIDIC) within the power construction industry and major projects and programme environment.
