The Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager
Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager
Contracts Manager will provide contract management services to the Bid and Project teams, according to business needs and the stage of a specific opportunity / project. Working closely with the Bid Team Lead and/or the Project Manager he/she will support pre-contract and operational delivery, helping to manage commercial risk and opportunity and ensuring compliance with company procedures.

Main Responsibilities of the Contracts Manager :
Deal with allocated Bids and/or Projects oversees the contract management process, serving as point of contact for customers for any contractual matters, both in the bid and in the contract implementation phase.
Identifying the potential "deal breakers" (according to the company's policy), proposing possible deviations to mitigate contractual/economic risks.
Drafting, evaluation, negotiation and guidance on confidentiality agreements, cooperation agreements with partners, contracts with customers, requests for contract/agreement amendments.
Detailed review of the contractual Terms & Conditions proposed by Customers, assuring accuracy and appropriateness of contract texts and attachments, ensuring that proposals are aligned to company's policies and procedures.
Establishment, discussion and negotiation with customers and partners of the contractual agreements and clauses.
Support the Procurement Dept. in contract negotiations with suppliers and flow down of head contract terms / requirements.
The Contracts Manager will be managing and keeping up to date the contract change registers.
Support the Project Manager and the Senior Commercial Manager with any internal reporting.
Drafting and negotiation of contract claims including evidence gathering.
Support the Project Manager during change control discussions, claims or contract disputes.
Assist the Project Controls function where required in cost and expenditure planning.
Provide post contract award commercial services up to and including Final Account.
Per Project , ensure all contract administration timelines are understood and that all contract documentation is produced on time, properly approved and logged in a controlled and auditble manner
Professional memberships an advantage but not essential

Pre-requisites of the Contracts Manager
As travel is required on a weekly basis a full UK driving license is required as is the ability to stay overnight on occasion
** The individual will be required to work with various levels of security classified client information. As such the individual will be required to attain a minimum SC clearance ***

The Role will be based in our Wolverhampton HQ with frequent /weekly travel to our other main office in Warrington..

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree in engineering or scientific discipline, with at least 10 years commercial experience working for EPC organisations within a highly regulated industry
Specific experience in dealing with contractual matters and interfacing with legal departments
Good working knowledge of a variety of different contract forms including but not limited to NEC3 and FIDIC
Demonstrable experience of working within a pre contract and post contract role
Demonstrable experience of working within a project portfolio business and ideally some experience of a manufacturing/product environment
Excellent written and spoken English
Good working knowledge of IT project tools
Dynamism, aptitude for problem solving and team work, practicality, reliability, flexibility, and results orientation
Good communication skills and interpersonal relations at all levels
Strong negotiating skills with the ability to secure the required outcomes when dealing with people
Good planning and organisational skills

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
