The Role:
As a Mechanical Fitter you will be part of a busy production team, however have the ability to word alone. You will be tasked with the following duties, but not limited too.

Key Activities/Decision Areas:
* Working with the manufacturing manager and his team to determine overall requirements of each stage of the plan
* Route card review to ensure each stage and method of production has been completed
* The Mechanical Fitter will be involved Assembly to the time, cost and quality requirements laid out in the plan
* Completion of all documentary evidence supplied by Manufacturing and QA areas
* Maintain records for all completed work to required company standards and procedures
* The Mechanical Fitter will pass off all completed work to the drawing standards issued and to be available to do the same for any other assembly - fitter as a `check inspector'
* Carry out any other tasks requested by the manufacturing engineer within the scope and requirement of your role and personal level of competence
* Essential role related knowledge, technical skills, experience and qualifications
* Responsible for ensuring that the technical accuracy of your work and the work of the assembly section members meets the standards set by the client

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Accurately build new machinery from engineering drawings & general assembly drawings
* Previous mechanical, machining, fitting and assembly experience is essential
* Would be from a Mechanical Fitter/Maintenance Engineer or Machine Tool Fitter background
* Used to working on bespoke mechanical and machine tool equipment that hasn't been assembled before and have the ability to troubleshoot when issues arise.
* Drilling & Tapping with sub assembly work
* Work to close tolerances (less than one thousandth)
* Problem solving and fault finding skills
* Must have the ability to read Engineering drawings and be able to select the correct materials for the job.
* Must have the ability to work alone and as part of a small team
