The Role:
Responsible for the Supply Chain for Projects within Waste Management and Decommissioning and Defence.
Management of Supply Chain budget for each supplier within each Project.
You will be a key member of the integrated team, updating project plans with Procurement inputs and working closely with the Project team to ensure successful project delivery.
Negotiate favourable terms with suppliers and manage through contract lifecycle.
Must represent the Procurement Department in an professional and ethical manner at all times

Key Activities
Identify and ensure sufficient early supplier engagement to minimise downstream risks and recommend appropriate sub-contracting strategy where appropriate.
Support strategic purchasing plans, ensuring supplier expectations are clearly defined and suppliers are committed to achieving goals in the areas of Quality, Cost Competitiveness (total delivered cost) and Delivery
Work in a team environment with the Supply Chain Development/Quality Department in updating and identifying as to exactly what the Supply Chain Development Requirements are for all Procured project requirements.
Monitor and review Quality Documentation on a weekly basis
Identify and realise areas for cost downs to budget and lead time
Accurate placement of PO's
Conduct market analysis and liaise with Supplier Management for new supplier introduction

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years in a purchasing position. Must be IT Literate
MCIPS
Strong communication skills both oral and written
Diplomatic communication skills when interacting with various departments
Ability to liaise and co-operate with other departments

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Preferably worked in an Engineering environment
