The Role:
Position Title with Job Description: Wellsite Geologist - The primary responsibilities of the Wellsite Geologist is supervision of all well site geological personnel and operations (e.g. mudlogging, Logging While Drilling (LWD), and Wireline services) and quality assurance of all geological data acquisition and reporting.

Scope of Work (additive to generic job description): * Wellsite Geological Services:
o Geological monitoring.
o Monitoring and supervision of wireline and LWD logging operations.
o Monitoring of coring operation.
o Monitoring and supervision of mudlogging operations.
o Reporting responsibilities.
* Well Completion Report Compilation and Distribution
* Coordination of Wellsite Geological Activities ("Operations Geologist"): Coordinate, monitor, and administer Company operated wellsite geotechnical activities.
o Pre-drill planning.
o Monitor and coordinate wellsite geologic data acquisition and analysis activities.
o Post-drill responsibilities
* Abnormal Pressure Surveillence
o Ensure all abnormal pressure parameters are monitored, captured on a pressure evaluation log, and reviewed with Company Operations Geologist and Drilling Supervisors as required
o Generate and distribute detailed reports compiling parameters, observations, and interpretation

Location of Assignment: Guyana
Start Date: On or around August 15, 2017
Approx. end date: On or around June 15, 2018
Assignment type: Resident or Rotator (Onshore or Offshore) Offshore Rotator
Work Schedule: 5 days/wk, 3x3 wks, etc 4x4 weeks
Daily Schedule: 8+, 10+ or 12+ hour professional day 12 hour days
Business Travel locations including estimated # of trips per year: Georgetown, Guyana

Additional comments (Please provide additional information on must have skills/experiences that may not be provided in the job description so that the agency can source the best fit for this assignment) * BS in Geology from a recognized institution and a minimum of 10 years of experience as a Wellsite Geologist.
* Fluent in both written and spoken English, have good organizational and coordination skills, and be able to work well with others.
* Offshore experience including platform/deviated well drilling with associated technologies (e.g. LWD).
* Experience with Managed Pressure Drilling in offshore/deepwater setting
* Must be in good physical condition and shall comply with all project health and safety requirements (including any rig or country-specific certifications required to work offshore).
* Have successfully passed a recognized (OPITO) course in Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET), Sea Survival, and H2S within the previous two years. Certifications must be current and not due to expire for the anticipated duration of the project.
