The Role:
Job Summary:
- The main function of the Well P&A Engineer is to be part of a team of Well P&A Engineers responsible for designing and executing all aspects of offshore well P&A programs.
- Develop well specific Well P&A programs
- Interface and direct third party contractors in the development of detailed Well P&A programs.
- Keeps abreast, analyzes and makes recommendations on appropriate use of existing technologies to enhance Well P&A project cost efficiencies.
- Assists with the technical and commercial review of vendor proposals to ensure the most technically sound and costs effective methods are employed to execute the well P&A program.
- Assist in the development of time and cost estimates for well P&A programs.
- Perform tubular stress analysis for each completion.
- Finalize End of Well Reports for Submission to C-NLOPB.
- Directs the preparation of material and attends meetings and post analysis reviews to ensure the lessons learned are captured and communicated within the business unit and to the service companies.
- Interacts with the service companies and coordinates the detailed programs and end of well reports as part of their contractual obligation.

Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years' engineering experience
- 10+ years' engineering experience in drilling/completions, workover, and/or well P&A

Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience that includes exposure to an offshore environment

- Related engineering undergraduate degree
