The Role:
The client is one of the world's leading energy companies, with approximately 60,000 employees working in countries around the world. We explore, produce and transport crude oil and natural gas; refine, market and distribute fuels and other energy products; manufacture and sell petrochemical products; generate power; and develop future energy resources, including biofuels and geothermal energy.

The Business Analyst job family defines skills for formulating and defining system scope using information technology and industry knowledge/requirements, based on both user needs and a good understanding of information technology, business processes, and industry requirements. The job progression identifies responsibilities ranging from assisting, formulating and defining systems scope and objectives to self-directed activities that client's long term improvements in business processes.

* Develops and supports the Upstream IT Bill Plan, Services Changes, and provides ad hoc support to key stakeholders.
* Leads Global Upstream benchmarking efforts in collaboration with Performance Reporting team - coordinate data collection, review, and analysis for improvement insights in Upstream.
* Engages with the Upstream IT Regional Managers, Upstream IT Business Unit Managers and Functional IT Managers/IT Planners, Architecture, Service Management Portfolio/Project Management teams, Performance Reporting to ensure alignment with strategic initiatives.
* Co-leads the Global Upstream IT Business Planning Network and Annual Face-to-Face meeting to grow Organizational Capability, drive consistent and simplified business processes, and strengthen the network.
* Provides ad hoc analytical support to IT Segment Planning Manager and key stakeholders; drive data to insights and actions for business results. Be a Trusted Advisor
* Develops, maintains and monitors the financial and budgeting systems and processes, including IT operating expense planning models, IT efficiencies, metrics and benchmarking data.
* Identifies and drives business process improvements in conjunction with IT Planning Management,
Performance Reporting, Service Management Office and Asset Sponsors. Simplify processes and enable faster, better decision making.
* Provides support to improvements in Total Cost of Ownership visibility in Apptio.
* Works on various special projects to drive key strategic IT initiatives.

Required Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree or related experience
* Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Suite skills (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
* Strong analytical skills and business acumen
* Power BI - ability to transform data to insights with visualization tools

Required Skills:
1. Domain experience: Understanding of ITC and the IT function support services. Knowledge and understanding of specific business requirements, capabilities and operations for ITC and Upstream BUs embedded IT.
2. Build collaborative relationships: Build collaborative relationships which includes having strong teamwork and interpersonal skills. Communicates with all management levels. Experience with forming partnerships between technology and business partners.
3. Deliver results: Deliver a quality product that will have an impact on short and long term business results, acts with a sense of urgency, provides critical thinking, works with ambiguity and adapts to changing business priorities.
4. Communications: Demonstrates an ability to clearly and professionally convey information to all types of audiences. Ability to explain complex requirements to large audiences with diverse backgrounds.
