The Role:
Position Description:

We are seeking a .NET developer responsible for building .NET applications using ASP.NET Web-Forms & SQL Server backend. Your primary responsibility will be to design and develop these layers of our applications, and to coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is essential. We are looking for somebody who is an expert in .NET and can take the team from previous Access and VB.NET systems into web based ASP.NET systems.

A knowledge engineer is required to deliver tactical cost toolsets to drive efficiency improvements within the Cost Engineering team. You will be involved in system development, creation of knowledge tools for manufacturing processes and support cost engineering function for information and data management. You will need to liaise with cross functional teams from Purchasing / Engineering / Finance / Cost Engineering / Programmes to ensure the delivery of toolsets.


1)ASP.NET Web Forms (MVC would be an added advantage)

2)Microsoft C# .NET and SQL Server

3)Entity Framework (Database/Model First, Webforms with Entity Framework & EF Data Validation)

Experience Required:

IT Skills: - Microsoft C# .NET - ASP.NET Web Forms (MVC would be an added advantage) - Entity Framework (Database/model first, EF data validation, Web Forms with Entity Framework) - SQL Server - Enterprise Libraries - Experience working within an Agile environment/Familiar with Agile methodologies - Highcharts* - DevExpress* - Tableau Reporting* - Microsoft Access* - Microsoft Excel and VBA Macros* *Would be an added advantage

Job Scope & Business Skills:
Design, implement and test work against an agreed requirement specification - Help the team move from legacy MS Access and VB.NET systems to ASP.NET Web Forms with SQL backend. - Actively contribute to the improvement of the Agile development process - Be a self-starter who can be relied on to get the job done - Contribute to the effectiveness of the development team by the sharing of technical and business knowledge - Good interpersonal skills and a highly skilled communicator, you will have the ability to think on your feet and make strong appropriate decisions - Ability to analyse and interpret data and convert into meaningful business toolsets - Tenacity and steadfastness to follow through and complete delivery, using initiative to find solutions - Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with colleagues to leverage knowledge and experience - Understanding of Manufacturing processes and breakdown of cost would be an added advantage.

Experience Required: Proven Track record in the design and development of web based applications using ASP.NET & C# - Possessing a high level of data analysis and interpretation skills - Developed quality control activities such as integration testing and code reviews - Created function specifications coded comments and other technical documentation - Collaborated with peer teams for review and analysis of system requirements - Degree Educated
