The Role:
The role of ADAS Lead Engineer is based within the ADAS Core Engineering group in Electrical Engineering.
The ADAS Core group is responsible to complete all the system engineering deliverables required to design and deliver driver assistance features based on video, radar and ultrasonic technologies such as Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, Automatic High Beam control, Intelligent Emergency Braking, Traffic Sign Recognition, Intelligent Speed Limiter, Rear View, Junction View, Cross Traffic Alert, 360 degree Plan View, Lane Change Merge Aid, Park Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Traffic Jam Assist, Highway Assist
Key Performance Indicators for this role are: - Delivery to plan for Programme deliverables - Cost & Technical compatibility

3 KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
1. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, self- confidence and a 'passion for quality
2. A good working knowledge of PCDS, Change Control, Product Definition and Change Management processes are essential
3. Ability to lead the resolution of business, technical and process issues within a Project Team environment

Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The successful applicant will need the following skills and qualifications:
Experience in Automotive Engineering
Experience in Driver Assistance Systems or comparable complex systems (eg Infotainment, Chassis Control, Powertrain)
Strong oral and written communication & IT skills
Highly disciplined, analytical and self-committed.
Driven by passion for the automotive product
UK Driving licence or equivalent

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Understanding of Quality methods, Failure Mode Avoidance and robustness.
Six Sigma Green Belt qualification desirable
