The Role:
Pilot Operations are responsible for the construction of VP prototypes to enable vehicle and Rig Testing to be conducted during the vehicle development programme.
key Responsibilities are:
Vehicle build assembly process development and validation, BOM / specification validation.
Delivery of Prototype vehicles to meet programme timing.
Provide leadership and technical direction to a multi-skilled team of vehicle fitters.
Manage critical torque data gathering via control plans and attribute checks.
Lead component engineers to ensure quality resolutions of in build issues.
Recording all build concerns via Concern & Countermeasure, and manage and cascade Prototype Build deliverables.
Leading Concern and Countermeasure daily reviews, with Program Management and Launch Leaders.

3 KEY SKILLS REQUIRED:
1)Excellent knowledge of vehicle assembly processes and problem solving within a demanding manufacturing environment.
2)Excellent computer skills including Office programmes and Google documents.
3)Excellent people skills, the successful applicant will be dealing with many different groups and should be able to communicate clearly and effectively to manage day to day activities and build progress.

Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The applicant should have the capability to drive and motivate the team to achieve results.
They must be self-motivated to achieve deadlines and be pro-active in anticipating and preventing any build stopping issues, whilst ensuring that the quality of the product is not compromised by achieving the timing plan.
In addition the applicant should have the following qualifications and experience:
Proven ability to influence and/or manage people with a high degree of inter-personal skills.
Candidate must be highly motivated and have a record of proactive delivery and commitment to meeting deadlines and be able to be flexible with working arrangements including overtime where required.
Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels.
The ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision when necessary to deliver key objectives.
Conversant with GSPAS, VPS, APT, AIMS, Digibuck & GPIRS
Bills of Material Essential
Understanding of vehicle programme delivery processes
