The Role:
CAD / Package Engineer The role involves design/development INTERIOR trim assemblies & components / systems for future vehicle programmes. This includes Cabin Trim / Cockpit trim / Seating soft trim and structures.

1. Catia V5 ideally V6, MUST have a formal training certificate from an IBM accredited training organisation
2. Automotive experience with ability to create 2D/3D detail geometry and modelling package studies. Be capable of understanding and working with geometrical tolerances standards to BSI / ISO standards. Ideally have kinematics experience and capable of running software to verify complex models.
3. Fluent in spoken/written English

kills Preferred:

.Ability to generate CAD models using V5/V6 .
Capable of creating detailed engineering drawings from CAD and working from Surface geometry.
Ideal if the candidate has Kinenmatic s and or CAE experience

Experience Required
The candidate must have substantial experience as a Interior Trim CAD engineer in the automotive sector.
They must be qualified and trained via an IBM accredited training delivery organisation and be able to prove this via official training certification documentation It is anticipated candidates will be educated to Degree Level, or HNC/ HND with significant experience.

Experience Preferred:

Engineering Delivery Experience for Plastic/Structural/Functional parts
Automotive Engineering experience with an understanding of automotive product creation and delivery tools like enovia PLM
Substantial experience using V5 Supplier management Quality tools like FMEA and problem solving
Releasing and WERS / Issue Management
AIMS Requirement Management - eFDVS/RMDV
Testing and Validation of plastic and structural components
Good understanding of materials and manufacturing technology
Software Skills - PC Literate, MS Office Proficiency, MS Project knowledge"

Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.
