The Role:
Thermal CAE Analyst. Leads the Thermal CAE analysis on programmes to ensure Thermal Management CAE models are built to process, components are analysed to determine their suitability to the thermal environment and proposals are generated to resolve issues. Will include some mesh building as necessary. Supports the Thermal Technical Specialist with data collation for correlation between T&D to CAE methods.

Skills Required:
1. Excellent understanding of heat management analysis and thermal processes
2. CAE tool usage including model preparation in CAD, meshing and post-processing, preferably RadTherm / Exa PowerTherm
3. Excellent report writing and communication skills
4. The ability to lead technical issue resolution and development projects with the support of the T&D team, CAE teams, Technical Specialists and any external parties.

Experience Required:
- Successful history as a CAE engineer for a major OEM or supplier, or significant heat management CAE knowledge from a non-automotive background or academic/research environment
- Degree in technical subject

Experience Preferred:
- Experience of Thermal Climatic Wind Tunnel (CWT) and Hot Environment Testing (HET)
- Experience of Thermal and/or Cooling whole vehicle test work
- Ability to use client's preferred Thermal CAE tools (EXA PowerFlow and PowerTherm) and associated pre-processing tools (ANSA)
- Experience of CFD tools
