Current Model Quality Engineer (Electrical)

The Role:
Based in the Gaydon Quality office, the Electrical Quality team are responsible for delivering the targets set by the business for EESE Quality, in our drive to achieve world class performance levels. The team operate in an exciting, dynamic environment progressing the resolution of quality issues effecting customers in the field.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintaining the required level of engagement from core CoC teams to resolve Red Flag Technical Assist cases.
- Identifying areas for improvement to reduce the time of Red Flag TA case resolution
- Report latest status of all Red Flags during weekly escalation conference call
- Maintaining the required level of engagement from core CoC teams to resolve Concern Monitoring Team (CMT) cases.
- Represent EE Quality team in Market Champion monthly reviews, including compiling latest status pack & gaining CoC support where required
- Maintaining the required level of engagement from core CoC teams to resolve Quicker Service Fix (QSF) cases.
- Assigning Critical Concerns to the correct functional area and track to closure"

3 Key Skills Required

1. Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems
2. Capable of working in a reactive environment - Can do attitude with passion to learn and develop
3. Familiar with tools and techniques to ensure robust problem resolution i.e. Six Sigma
.
Experience Required

- Previous experience of working in the automotive industry or for an automotive supplier Complete understanding of customer quality data

Experience Preferred:

- Retailer experience of dealing with customer field failures first hand Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certified
- Qualified to degree level in an Engineering discipline
- Project management
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel & Powerpoint
