The Role:
Cyber Security Systems and / Software Engineer To collaborate with the clients feature and system design teams to engineer implementable, cost effective security solutions To collaborate with supplier security and system engineers to ensure the clients security requirements are fulfilled Participate in cyber security knowledge sharing within the cyber security team and other groups Candidates are expected to be comfortable working across a range of technologies, possessing an interest and aptitude for cyber security and all its facets. Post graduate / graduate applications are welcome providing candidates have an awareness of embedded systems development and are able to demonstrate an understanding and enthusiasm for cyber security.

3 KEY SKILLS REQUIRED:

1. Knowledge of security risk management principles and techniques
2. Knowledge of automotive system development lifecycles
3. Have a confident, systematic and resilient approach to complex problem solving within a fast paced, pressurised environment

Experience Required:

Good first degree in computer science, electronic engineering, technology, maths or technical discipline. Experience and / or knowledge of IT Security Standards and Automotive Cyber Security Guidelines Sound knowledge of cyber security best practice, common attack types, detection and prevention methods Experience and / or knowledge of Threat Analysis techniques and Risk Assessment schemes Experience and / or knowledge of discovering and authoring cyber security requirements to describe security concepts Ability to author and present cyber security plans, concepts and articles.

Experience Preferred:

Higher degree (relevant MSc or PhD) in a relevant related discipline such as cyber security Knowledge and / or experience of security assurance case development Knowledge and / or experience of cyber security testing tools and techniques Knowledge and / or experience of ethical hacking Experience of developing cyber security standards and guidelines Experience of red teaming.

Additional Information :

Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and priorities. Have good interpersonal skills, a consensus-builder not confrontational. Be a self-starter and able to execute designated tasks accurately with minimum supervision. Be willing to travel and work flexibly; between (Midland) locations.
