The Role:
This role will require travel to various sites.

The Project Control & Diagnosis Teams are divided into three sub teams, one designated to each of the three main vehicle architectures. This role is to collaborate as a Project Control Engineer ensuring high motivation and skill throughout to deliver the project throughout with precision and accuracy, using tests only where necessary and with defined objectives to define the resolver for the emerging issues identified in the Warranty Transformation Process. You'll be an experienced Engineer keen to work in a team of Engineers who are experts in Powertrain, Electric and Chassis. The team will work collaboratively and nimbly to meet the demanding tasks set of them. 3 KEY SKILLS REQUIRED:
1)Process Analyses, Process Capability, Control Plans, Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Drawings & Specifications, FMEA, PFMEA and Control Plan.
2)Lead Problem Solving analysis and Standard Problem Definition creation using Problem Solving Techniques which must define where the issue liability seat recommending a resolver for the quality issue based problem solving analyses findings.
3)Analytical skills

Key Responsibilities:
Lead Problem Solving analysis and Standard Problem Definition creation using Problem Solving Techniques which must define where the issue liability seat recommending a resolver for the quality issue based problem solving analyses findings.
Conduct Manufacturing Process audits in the clients Plants and Suppliers Plant.
Projects may include: Process Analyses, Process Capability, Control Plans, Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Drawings & Specifications, FMEA, PFMEA and Control Plan.
Participate in the development and refinement of Design and Process FMEAs (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
Provide concise, complete and accurate documentation of inspection results relative to area of responsibility. In appropriate functional areas, this refers to supporting inspection and test status requirements defined by regulations, engineering product specifications or Control Plans, Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) approval or product warrant submission.
Collate and evaluate the clients and supplier quality data to identify process improvement opportunities and process non-conformances.
Work with Engineering (Design and Manufacturing Engineers) team to define process parameters and criteria to ensure process capability is effective to meet product and process requirements. Promote the use of customer preferred techniques for continuous improvement such as Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Measurement System Analysis , Lean, Six-Sigma, and Poka Yoke (Error Proofing).
Produce written reports and make presentations.

Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience and/or training in manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), 8D Disciplines, 5 Whys and Pareto Analysis / Analytical skills
Strong organizational skills
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, work well with diverse groups of people and be able to function independently of direct supervision.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Engages interest and participation of others and has a collaborative approach to working with others
Assertive, optimistic, resilient and welcomes change
Must have a valid drivers license in good standing
High level of IT literacy, especially Excel skills (data analyse using pivot tables)

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Understanding of project management
Proven application of Green Belt Certified 6-Sigma methodology.
Understanding /experience of some or all of PD PVT, PD Attributes, PD CoCs, Manufacturing, STA, Service and Marketing.
Experience using Microsoft Project, Minitab
Holds a degree in a technical discipline.
