The Role:


NVH Engineer - Transmission and Driveline. The transmission & driveline NVH team are responsible for all aspects of design and development of transmissions, conventional 2wd and 4wd drivelines as well as PHEV and Full BEV systems in the field of NVH. This role is for an engineer to work on any of the above systems taking and analysing data for the purposes of both standard design validation as well as issue resolution. Test work can be at component, system or full vehicle level. These tests can be in the laboratory, on a test rig or on the test track.

Desired Skills:

  • Background in NVH measurement, practice and analysis essential, using industry standard instrumentation and tools (Bruel & Kjaer, DJ Birchall, LMS etc.) to acquire data direct to LMS front end.
  • Carry out subsequent analysis of data using LMS, draw conclusions and report work, attend progress meetings.
  • Would be required to work in a team environment.
  • Candidate should have a proven ability to make appropriate measurements, assess data, draw considered conclusions, and advise subsequent actions.

  • Ability to effectively communicate across multi-disciplinary departments.
  • Would be required to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight time scales.
  • Experience in Transmission and driveline would be an advantage.

Desired Experience

  • NVH measurement and analysis, preferably in automotive/powertrain environment.
  • NVH experience in rotating machinery, ideally in automitive sector.
  • Specific NVH experience in Transmissions, driveline or emotors an advantage.
  • Undergraduate degree / Diploma, in Engineering/Automotive/Acoustics preferred
  • Candidates from other industries may be considered depending on knowledge and experience."
