The Role:
Position Description:
Part of a dynamic team dedicated to the Post delivery phase of the SVO product creation process. The primary objective is to coordinate and manage a cross functional team to deliver the timely introduction of line fit programme and dealer fit commodities within the cost constraints defined at.

The Post-PS role will offer the successful candidate:-
An opportunity to help define SVO future products and business direction. A level of responsibility, autonomy and exposure to senior leadership. Insight into the SVO business, how it operates, makes decisions and interacts with the core JLR business. An opportunity to make a positive contribution to the SVO business. There is a strong element of team work required across the SVO organisation and with a wider set of stakeholders in core JLR functions to develop and deliver product. The SVO Post-PS team wishes to recruit talented and enthusiastic individual with the appropriate skills to act as a focus for this activity. It would be beneficial for candidates to have an understanding of general automotive vehicle architecture, strong financial acumen, Good planning and organisational skills, excellent people skills plus strong analytical and presentation skills.

The Programme Planner is responsible for coordinating and managing a portfolio of SVO Post projects from to gateways and onto delivery including:- Working with NMP and launch team to ensure a collaborative VPP that supports timely vehicle introduction J#1. ¿ Working with a cross functional team to develop the appropriate programme content to meet customer, technical, attribute and financial requirements. Leading Programme Steering Team meetings and representing Programme in other related meeting (Timing,

1. Programme Management leading delivery projects
2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
3. Ability to influence range of stakeholders

Skills Preferred:
Design, Launch & Technical reviews etc) Manage budgetary requirements up to . Monitoring and managing programme status and progress against key metrics and Deliverables using JLR-PCDS principles. Preparing and presenting gateway and programme status papers for senior review.

Experience Required:
- Experience of programme management and/or strategic planning and with a good technical understanding of the whole vehicle.
- An Engineering or related qualification is expected, degree level preferred.
- Will have some experience of leading projects including evidence of planning and financial delivery, have excellent written and verbal communication capabilities and be ready to collaborate with a broad set of internal and occasional external stake-holders.
- Will be comfortable working in a broad organisation and influencing key personnel who are not direct reports.
- An excellent network and relationship builder.
- Prepared to question where appropriate and challenge the established wisdom bringing a `fresh eyes' approach.
- Familiar with business protocols and able to handle sensitive when required.
- Highly enthusiastic, driven and confident, expect to achieve goals with minimal supervision.
- Ability to analyse data and present conclusions using Excel and PowerPoint etc.
- Knowledge of JLR project delivery and change management processes including PCDS, AIMs 2, WERS and i-PLM.
- Working knowledge of PCDS toolset including i-PLM/Programme Central advantageous."

Experience Preferred:
Experience of working in a similar delivery/programme/Launch or technical role within the automotive industry, with demonstrable track record of delivery. It is anticipated candidates will be educated to Degree Level, or HNC/ HND with significant experience.

Additional Information:
Candidates must be flexible, and capable of, supporting business activities at other JLR sites including European manufacturing sites, although the role will be Gaydon based. Valid UK or equivalent European driving licence essential.
