The Role:
As a Project Engineer within the Special Operations (SO) Vehicle Personalisation (VP) Division you will be responsible for a variety of technically biased tasks, working to support engineers and managers.

You will need to work with personnel from other departments and functions and possibly with external companies. VP, operates as a nimble business within a business, and is focused towards increasing profitability through leveraging our customers desire to personalize their vehicles.

Key strategic elements include: Pushing the boundaries of the brands to create high premium niche halo performance & luxury vehicles. Developing a range of option packs to enhance the sporting and lifestyle attributes of our vehicle range. Enhancing the premium customer experience through vehicle personalisation and exclusivity.

The successful candidate for this role will be responsible for the management of bespoke interior components such as Fridges, Toe-Bars, Side-Steps, Tents, Sinks, Cupboards, Ski-Racks etc. Requirements are as follows:

Role Requirements:

Experience of Project Management.
Knowledge of general engineering principles relevant to the design, development, testing and manufacture of technically engineered products.
CAD 'interrogation' understanding. You don't need to be able to perform CAD, but will need to know how to/what to request when liaising with the CAD guys.
Enthusiasm/Initiative - Somebody who will be a 'Go Getter', and possesses a proactive approach to resolving problems and maintaining supplier relationships.
Experience with interior Trim components, design and development. (A lot of the future work will be around vehicle personalisation for customers 'PETS'….)
Somebody who is comfortable presenting up to senior management, with experience of summarising complex issues and providing recommendations on how to proceed.

Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.
