The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Position Description:
Provide engineering and technical support to BIW Production at Castle Bromwich. The CME team provide engineering input to improve production performance in key areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and the Environment. Day to day you'll ensure there is enough CME BIW Production support on a daily basis to maintain volume and quality targets and manage and develop the team to ensure they deliver scorecard objectives. You'll play an instrumental part in analysing and improving the dimensional integrity of the body shell and manage panel modifications. Your experience within a fast paced manufacturing operation will help establish best practice processes to achieve Premium Quality whilst controlling cost and working within delivery targets. You'll interface with other areas of the business, representing BIW and be expected to resolve build issues and flag findings at quality meetings.

Skills Required:
1. Engineering knowledge either degree qualification apprentice trained or extensive manufacturing experience.
2. Able to demonstrate problem solving methodology and deliver concern reports to senior management
3. Previous experience of working in high volume manufacturing environment

Experience Required:
"To ensure weekly GSPAS Process Audit compliance with MQOS requirements. Manage supplier improvement for all engineering related supplier issues Improve the dimensional capability of all BIW production assemblies. You'll need to be able to demonstrate extensive knowledge of the manufacturing process and have an established track record in achieving targets, despite obstacles and setbacks and be a confident communicator, both written and verbal. Ideally you'll be degree qualified. The role will require strong IT and communication Skills and a strong understanding of Manufacturing Quality standards. You'll need. A good understanding of Lean Manufacturing & Dimensional Control. Basic understanding of process system. Excellent problem solving skills. Understanding of Statistical Process control, control plans and SC/CC's. Basic understanding of MQOS requirements "

Experience Preferred:
Increasing production targets coupled with new model introductions you'll need to be able to balance a demanding work load whilst being able to drive cost and quality improvements across the function. The area operates around a shifted pattern so you'll need to be flexible with your working hours and have a proven ability to problem solve and implement robust solutions leading to detailed action plans, whilst monitoring progress. A good understanding of Lean Manufacturing processes within a production environment and is crucial.
