Software Engineer (Driveline Controls)
Location: West Midlands

Are you an experienced Software Engineer on the lookout for an exciting opportunity? If so, please see below;

The role is within the Driveline Controls team, the team is responsible for delivering latest technology world class four/all wheel drive systems on two global iconic brands.
The team scope includes the development of the Driveline EDS and networks architecture, the electronics, system functional and attribute requirements and test case definition and supplier management.

This specific role has the following key responsibilities:
a) Electric Drive unit Auxiliary Function System Architect (network architecture interface definition)
b) Requirements elicitation and creation for transmitted signal encoding definition / system reaction to received signal encoding
c) Failure Mode Avoidance Analysis
d) Functional Safety Analysis
e) Managing the network change releases (NCR) for and signal approval for the driveline systems on all platforms.
f) Feature requirement decomposition to system requirements
g) Creation of topology diagrams, and review topology and network changes each model year to ensure functionality and diagnostic coverage.
h) Performing impact analysis to network changes
i) Node interface specification and test case development.
j) Contribute to functional safety work product development

Skills Required:
* Prior exposure to testing any of the following technologies a plus: Driveline, Transmissions, Power Electronics, Network/Power management, automotive software systems, CAN.
* Experience as a system architect, or a similar role.
* Experience using CANalyser/CANape/CANoe
