The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Tooling Engineer The Tooling Team is responsible for the governance of the tooling processes within the engine plant and acts as the change authority to these processes. It also plays a key part in overall operating efficiency improvement actions as well as supporting new production / major product changes delivered by the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Department. As a Tooling engineer working in this team you will be expected to develop and implement innovative manufacturing solutions to support product changes and new variant launches. Support new product launches to ensure all processes and facilities support our operational objectives. Provide tooling process knowledge and guidance for Kaizen activities. Utilise lean manufacturing techniques and use knowledge to coach production teams on potential opportunities for improvement. Ensure that all of our tooling equipment is capable of continually delivering a quality product to our customer that exceeds their expectations. Provide technical expertise to team problem-solving activities. Technical expertise of spindle tooling to be delivered."
Skills Required:

3 KEY SKILLS REQUIRED 1. Knowledge and experience of working with high volume machine CNC processes. 2. Able to drive continuous improvement and implement lean tools and techniques 3. Experience of new part introduction required.
Skills Preferred:
Experience Required:
"Background in high volume machining and automotive production processes. A process driven approach with experience of lean manufacturing, problem solving tools, quality assurance techniques and process controls. Experience of working in a quality lead environment. Proficient in PFMEA / Control plan creation and maintenance Experience of virtual verification and new part introduction required. Good Computer literacy required Hands on experience of Kaizen and Lean system skills with application to assembly processes Good cross functional skills required CAD reading and manipulation skills required" CNC Spindle Tooling experience is essential.

Experience Preferred:
Knowledge of engine components and assembly techniques
