The Role:
Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Tenure: Permanent
Open to Malaysia passport holder only.

Reporting Line: General Managers - Senior Managers - Managers - Executives

Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the formulation of long-term strategic initiatives and business plan in support of the assigned business units (BUs), service units (SUs), and/or subsidiaries to ensure cohesiveness and consistency with the Group's overall corporate strategic vision and mission.
* Lead the implementation of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) activities/programs to monitor, manage, control and mitigate business risk to safeguard shareholder's return and the group's sustainability.
* Lead and manage the evaluation of potential business ideas, merger and acquisition (M&A) or corporate projects within allocated portfolio of businesses, as well as the development of effective execution plans (i.e. transaction structures, capital structures, and/or corporate structures) to facilitate the effective execution of identifies projects to support the Group's corporate strategy operational needs.
* Develop business intelligence and research to support the formulation of strategic vision, evaluation of business ideas, and implementation of ERM and investor relations.

Incorporated as a shipping line in 1968, our client is one of the world's leading international shipping and maritime conglomerates with principal businesses that include the ownership and operation of ships, tank terminals and offshore floating facilities; the repair and conversion of marine vessels; as well as the engineering and construction of offshore structures for the oil and gas industry.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in accounting/Finance/Business Studies/Economics or equivalent with accounting/finance/legal/economics background and/or knowledge in Finance/Management Accounting.
* Professional qualification or relevant post graduate degree would be an added advantage e.g. Chartered Financial Analyst or MBA
* Minimum 10 to 15 years working experience in finance/accounting/corporate planning/equity research/audit/investment banking environment with specific experience in financial forecasting/financial modelling/corporate restructure/M&A.
* Experience in Investor Relations would be an added advantage. Work experience include exposure senior managerial capacity/position and possess a working appreciation of the role and orientation of the top management.
