The Role:

Location : Kuala Lumpur

Tenure: Perm/ Direct Contract for 2 years

Financial Perspective: Major EPCIC Project with Contract value in the order of 1.5 - 2 Billion USD

Organisation Perspective: Responsible for Management / Supervision of 1 - 3 subordinates

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Execute and maintain responses to Market Survey, Request for Information (RFI) and Pre-Qualification (Pre-Q) submissions ensuring alignment with the overall Commercial Contracting Strategy (CCS).
  • Execute and maintain the development of tender submission documents, in collaboration with OBU internal departments and external stakeholders (if any), of suitable solutions that meet the clients' technical and commercial requirements.
  • Execute and maintain the overall execution in accordance with OBU Project Management System for Pre-Qs and ITBs which include project risk assessment and project economic evaluation.
  • Execute and maintain post-ITB activities including reviews, clarifications and negotiation process in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders until Contract Award or ITB closure.

    KEY CHALLENGES:
  • Working in a multi-cultural environment across multiple Countries and Locations
  • Stringent Deadlines: should always be ready with well-equipped processes and well-trained resources to handle urgencies regarding bid preparation and timely submission.
  • Coordination and Timely receipts of required Documents: The Proposal Coordination requires requisition of information from various departments and critical to receive them timely through efficient communication and coordination. Most of the bids are delayed due to non- receipt of required documents on time or receipt of documents just before finalization of proposal or last-minute changes. This severely affects the quality of proposal due to lack of ample time for final review.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE:
 10 - 20 years relevant experience in the execution of major Offshore Oil & Gas EPC projects.
 Minimum Years of FPSO Experience: 9
 Number of FPSO Projects (throughout relevant phases): 3

QUALIFICATION:
 BSc. Degree in relevant discipline.
 Ideally hold or working towards membership of an appropriate professional body.
 Having executed min. one FPSO project as an Engineering Manager or Deputy Project Manager

SKILLS:
 Specific skills required;
☒ Excellent understanding of technical and commercial aspects of FPSO contracts.
☒ Knowledge of typical subcontractors and vendors used on FPSO contracts.
☒ Structured and scheduled approach to work.
☒ Ability to transform a problem into a challenge / solution.
☒ Possess excellent managerial, interpersonal and communication skills.
☒ Multidisciplined Team player.
