The Role:
Location : Kuala Lumpur
Tenure: Perm/ Direct Contract for 2 years
 Establish, lead and interface with the respective subordinate to ensure that contractual development and formalization is done timely and efficiently taken consideration of the respective risk provided under the Contract.
 Lead, manage, drive, negotiate and administer the all activities with reference to Contract Documentation Management are in compliance with contracts provisions and OBU's Management Systems).

Financial Perspective:
 Project secured up to USD 3 billion investment value
 Estimated annual revenue up to USD 219 million per project for 20 years charter
 Protect company's liabilities up to USD 1 billion

Organization Perspective:
 Direct Report - 1 Executive.


Develop, analyse and propose contractual clarification for partner contracts with the support of respective stakeholders (e.g. Asset Management, Project Delivery and Technology, LCSA, etc) for Bidding submission in line with the proposed contracting strategy for Client.

Evaluate, assimilate and interpret the Client Contract documents in collaboration with the partners and propose clarifications and qualifications for completion of a Bidding submission to respective client.

Evaluate, assimilate, develop and propose agreements between MISC and prospective partners for joint venture/consortium which include Pre-bid / Head of Agreement / Shareholders Agreement / Confidential and Non-Disclosure Agreement (CNDA). The exercise will be in collaboration with the respective stakeholders within the bid and project execution team.


Coordinate negotiations with partners for selected work with consideration of the contractual requirements of the client.

Lead and ensure that all negotiated contracts are formalized, executed, stamped and disseminated to the respect stakeholder i.e. Legal.


Establish and manage the administration of contract documentation i.e. registry within OBU Management System and contractual provisions of joint venture or collaboration contract.


Supoort the negotiation and provide guidance on alternative strategies and associated risks in order to resolve contractual disputes and contentious issues for all projects in accordance with the respective contractual requirement, thus minimizing any possible impact for the business.


Establish, manage, effectively disseminate the reports on respective contract for any breach or likelihood of breach


Provide specific guidance to drive the development of a ready pool of capable and competent Contract Management professionals to best support the Group's business growth and operational needs.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* At least 12 years working experience, with 7 years in construction related tenders and contract management/ project management/negotiations. An exposure in the oil and gas FPSO industry is and added advantage.

* Degree in Law / Quantity Surveying / Engineering or other equivalent professional qualification.
* Master of Science (MSc) or Masters in Business Administration (MBA) or any related professional qualification is an additional advantage.
