The Role:
The incumbent shall be employed on OBU Floating Production projects, ensuring business objectives (Safety, Specification, Quality, Cost & Schedule) are maintained throughout the project life cycle.
Bid Phase:
Develop a functional requirements specification for the design and supply of SURF by a 3rd party specialist sub-contractor.
Review SURF equipment details issued by COMPANY and coordinate the interface to the FPSO.
The proposed designs shall sufficiently address the key challenges of the project with minimum residual risk carried forward to FEED and the subsequent Detail Design, Construction Engineering and Follow-on Engineering Support phases.
Execution Phase:
Oversee and review engineering by sub-contractor(s) supplying SURF. Overboard systems shall remain under the company's responsibility.

Financial Perspective:
 Major EPCIC Project with Contract value in the order of 1.5 - 2 Billion USD

Organisation Perspective:
 Bid Phase: Management / Supervision of up to 10 Part time Lead & Senior Discipline Engineers
 Execution Phase: Management / Supervision of Subcontractor for SURF work scopes. Manage Company's Overboard Systems engineering team.

Principal Accountabilities:
Bid Phase:

 The FPSO Marine design shall be Safe, Operable & Maintainable and fully compliant with the Basis of Design (BoD)
 Establish and agree definitive work scopes, physical work area boundaries and interfaces.
 The designs shall be completed to an agreed level of definition to provide weight, equipment, specifications and quantities for input to the bid cost model within an agreed level of accuracy.
 Bid phase engineering work scopes shall be completed within the allocated budget and schedule
Execution Phase:

 Expedite the delivery of SURF Systems equipment to the Integration construction site in accordance with agreed dates and installation sequences.
 Resolve & agree technical misalignments and conflicts between engineering disciplines.
 Ensure quality systems are in place and utilised in accordance with Engineering Execution Plan

Bid Phase:

 Perform due diligence checks on the proposed design for SURF.
 Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to clarify and resolve interfaces and specific requirements to support the design
 Support 3rd parties in the timely issue of Bid Phase deliverables.
 Perform verification on key deliverables which directly impact weight & cost
 Agree and record levels of Engineering contingency included in Weight & C of G reports.
 Provide input to weekly and monthly project progress reports

Execution Phase:

 Establish and agree key interface requirements.
 Establish and agree with Construction and Offshore T&I group on installation methods and sequences.
 Construction / Manufacturing and testing schedules shall be established to 'ready for delivery ex-works' date and the subsequent Estimated Time of Arrival at the selected module construction site.
 Ensure delivery of the fully completed and tested equipment to the module integration site in accordance with the 'Required On-Site' dates.
 Minimisation of Carry Over punch lists.

Key Challenges
 Develop current working practices to successfully deliver major international FPSO through EPCIC Projects & Operations
 Supporting Company, ambition to be recognised as a leading provider and operator of 'High Value and Complex FPSO facilities'
 Working in a multi-cultural environment across multiple Countries and Locations
 Freezing key interfaces with the Mooring Turret and Moorings
Maintaining timely completion of turret mooring and surf deliverables.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience & Qualification:
 15 - 25 years relevant experience in the execution of major Offshore Oil & Gas EPCIC projects.
 Minimum Years of FPSO Experience: 12
 Minimum number of FPSO Projects (throughout relevant phases): 4
 Experience with managing 3rd party Mooring Turret and SURF contractors & suppliers.
 BSc. Degree in relevant discipline.
 Ideally hold or working towards membership of an appropriate professional body.
