The Role:
1. Read, understand, and apply the Project Specifications. The SQA needs to understand what the requirements in the project specifications are; this includes (not limited) to mechanical, electrical, process, quality, environmental, safety, and all other required disciplines to be able to request and enforce the Projects Quality requirements upon the Contractors, Sub-contractors, and Vendors.
2. Support the Auditing program as needed (perform audits, checks, and surveillances) as needed and applicable; this may include office and job sites, or vendor shops.
Procurement Support
3. Provide supervision and oversight to the Project's Supplier Quality plan
3.1 Review and endorse Inspector's CVs and qualifications
3.2 Attend Kick Off meetings as required or requested.
3.3 Attend and support Pre-Manufacturing Meetings as required or requested.
3.4 Read and understand project specifications. Seek clarifications or additional support from the CVX SME's when needed
3.5 Review, and understand RFI's, RTA's, and PO's to support the procurement function.
3.6 Read, understand, and question the Shop Inspection Reports submitted by the Contractors and Sub-Contractors. Take action as needed in a timely manner.
3.7 Support in the resolution of CAR's or NCR's issued during the shop inspections campaign.
3.8 Review and file shop inspection reports. Take action as necessary in case of CAR's or NCR's.
3.9 Monitor compliance in manufacturing (via reports review) of the Supplier's performance by making sure the ITP is followed and completed.
3.10 Provide oversight and make sure all required documentation is provided in the Vendor's Databooks.
3.11 Provide oversight and make sure all preservation is getting done per the project specification requirements.

Auditing (Office or Vendor shops or field work)

4.1 Perform verifications or audits as required or needed. Support the Auditing process, this may entail an office environment, vendor shops or the field construction area or jobsite
4.2 Review Contractor's procedures, quality plans, and Inspection and test plans to monitor completion of work scope

Position General Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial preferably.
10 years' experience
Familiar with the shop inspection process
Familiar with code requirements (AWS-welding, ASME, API, and NDE codes/methods).
Auditing experience
