The Role:
Location: Midland, Texas
12 month contract

Manager Notes: Ideal candidate will have the following
1. Ability to manage multiple tasks at one
2. Ability to make strong forecasts of material requests
3. The candidate is expected to handle a diverse workload and multiple tasks, and to effectively interact with various internal and external contacts.

This position reports directly to the I&E Projects Team Leader for MCBU.

Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in a technical or business field required or Equivalent
* At least 5-7+ years of expedite and procurement experience - forecasting, budgeting, purchasing, etc. required
* Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, negotiation skills and interpersonal skills.
* -Ability to accurately document and record customer/client information.
* -Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
* -Ability to evaluate suppliers, when needed.
* -Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to purchasing.
* -Knowledge of supply chain management.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) - provide quality checked tables and accuracy with detailed data entry.
* SAP experience required
* Candidates local to Midland, TX area required

* Procurement experience within oil/gas industry strongly preferred
* Experience with Ariba would be a plus
* Experience in project procurement, sourcing and contracting events preferred.
Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical or business field required or Equivalent

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
* Preparation of purchase order requests
* Oversee the material and equipment expediting activities with client personnel and suppliers, provide material status reports, mitigate and coordinate follow ups on material deliveries and ARIBA reconciling of invoices
* Cost control
* Interact with client personal and third-party suppliers.
* Manage and develop key inventory management strategies with the program suppliers
* Ensure materials are ordered and delivered on time to meet the construction schedule
* Assist with schedule input and information gathering
* Attend meetings, as necessary, to keep informed of changing delivery requirements.
* Manage many tasks simultaneously and excel in a fast-paced environment.
* Retrieve engineering data from multiple platforms or engineering drawings, interpret the data, and properly distribute to technical teams and systems of record.
* Assist in drawings creation and Documentum filing.
* Compile data, communicate, and provide information to construction staff.
* Assist with schedule input and information gathering.
* Put together Construction Work Packages for issue (ensure all requirements at met)
* Assist in the preparation of project lookbacks
* Engage with other employees on database systems and engaging external customers.
* Demonstrated strong teamwork skills and the ability to work with multi-discipline teams, managers, engineers, and planners.
* Self-directed.
* Provide clear, concise, reports.
