The Company:

The Role:
NVQ Site Management, City and Guilds Site Management, CIOB Diploma in Site Management or equivalent qualification in a construction management, site management or related discipline.
· NEBOSH National Construction Certificate
· SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
· Good knowledge of civil, installation and commissioning activities
· Detailed knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 particularly the Principle Contractor duty holder requirements.
· Understanding of applicable legislation and regulation e.g. HSAWA, LOLER, PUWER, Work at Height etc.
· Ability to evaluate or prepare Risk Assessments and Method Statements
· Temporary Works
· Client Authorizations (as required)
· Competent to issue work permits (Inc. Permit to dig, hot work, LV, etc.)
· First Aid Trained (OFQUAL accredited First Aid at Work)
· IT literate
· Minimum 5 years of Site Management in relevant industry (i.e. Construction work in the Electrical Supply or Power Generation Industry, etc.)
· Ability to work with projects of different size, complexity and with a variety of clients
· Good knowledge of civil, installation and commissioning activities


· BSc in Construction Management, Project Management, Civil Engineering or similar discipline.
· IOSH Managing Safely
· Membership of a relevant professional body e.g. CIOB.

Job Role: Working closely with the Project Manager, Contract Manager and Project Engineers to ensure business and project standards, as follows:


· Primary site representative, presents in a positive & professional manner in accordance with code of conduct and integrity programme.
· Takes personal responsibility for successful delivery of the project on site.
· Works proactively to set project goals and meet customer expectations.
· Develops and maintains effective working relationship with the project team, including the customer, supplier organizations and other stakeholders.
· Values and actively promotes team work and collaboration
· Implements delivery construction strategy
· Personal responsibility of site Health, Safety and Environment
· Leads team(s) and oversee programs and practices to ensure an exemplary health safety and environmental culture is established and maintained on site in accordance with statutory requirements, policies, processes & procedures.
· Management and coordination of contractors.
· Quality
· Ensures that site works are carried out to the required quality and recorded.
· Ensure all construction drawings & documentation is up to date / current
· Project Planning and Scheduling
· Plan, monitor and control site activities to ensure safe and efficient delivery of the site works on time, taking account of critical path activities.
· Actively strives to optimize overall resource planning and utilization.
· Commits to improve performance while taking action to minimize programme risks.
· Project Reporting
· Creates concise reports that focus on key issues.
· Project Risk and Opportunity Management
· Comprehensive understanding of the scope of work and contract
· Acts proactively to avoid/minimize risk and turn situations into opportunities.
· Identifies and reports / records all change events.

· Be able to interface with the client and all disciplines whether internal or external companies, suppliers, designers and unitary bodies.
· Will be focused on value engineering, ensuring full consultation with all interested parties.
· Follow all designated work flow procedures and add value by introducing new consulted procedures.
· Must offer flexible approach to work tasks and in accordance with strict tender timescales.


· Identify potential staff recruitment, which may become necessary from time to time, and to liaise with appropriate Head of Department as appropriate
· Assist departmental Managers in the recruitment process


· Identify client requirements, liaising with Internal and External Suppliers and close liaison with Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Engineering and Commercial functions.

Sub-contractors and Suppliers

Supporting the tendering and SCM teams by ensuring appropriate terms and conditions are understood and applied to all tenders, sub-contracts and equipment suppliers
