The Role:
An exciting opportunity to work for a world leading manufacturer of substation equipment. A hands-on homebased role consisting of travel across the UK, mainly London - Manchester belt, working on various projects such as power stations, utilities, hospitals and factories.

Working for a rapidly expanding business who are keen facilitators of staff development, providing opportunities to be trained on the latest technology within a company who promote a strong cultural environment for internal movement and progression.

Responsible for conducting Commissioning activities on a range of medium voltage switchgear products, with a capability of Commissioning third party as well as relays, and able to support L.V Commissioning activities either immediately or with future training.

Responsibilities:
* Undertake Commissioning duties for the Customer site based element of the EP Service offer
* To ensure that all relevant test documentation is completed at the end of the project and supplied to the
* Project Manager for each project.
* To work safely and in full compliance at all times and on all occasions.
* To ensure compliance with Quality Management System, Safety Procedures and Accountancy Policies
* Commission newly installed switchgear, update drawings and writing reports.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Time served Electrician qualified to HNC/HND Standard.
* Working knowledge of Maintenance procedures.
* Knowledgeable in MV protection systems.
* Strong background in the power sector.
* Strong people skills.
* National Safety Passport.
* Good understanding of the CDM regulations and current H&S legislation.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Protection design capability (goose messaging etc).
* Demonstrate excellent customer focus.
* Good Medium Voltage product knowledge GIS
