The Role:
I'm actively sourcing for a Financial Controlling Support Specialist to join our globally renowned power generation client on a contract basis. This role will be looking for candidates to provide day-to-day local controlling SAP support. They are looking to bring a candidate in ASAP as this is a business critical role
Role Outline
Provide routine accounting/controlling support to the clients UK Financial Controllers
Main Accountabilities
- Provide day-to-day local controlling SAP support for PP
- Prepare journals and accruals
- Prepare overhead allocations
- Reconcile and review key balance sheet accounts e.g. stock, provisions
- Resolve errors
- Provide month end Abacus reporting support (input to Abacus by SAS)
- Balance sheet reconciliation and review
- Prepare cost centre correction journals (where required)
- Headcount reconciliation and reporting
- Sales expenses variance analysis
- Provide local finance and accounting support to the business
- Cash flow forecasts
- Manage and review the FX forward contracts
- Manage intra-business recharges
- Provide support to the annual budget and rolling forecast processes
- Support Annual budget process
- Prepare local cost centre budgets for input to SAP
- Update the monthly rolling forecast in BI
- Provide ad-hoc reporting, troubleshooting and analysis when required
- Provide support to GBS with the completion of the Abacus reporting packs
- Act as focal point for day-to-day FI/CO enquiries from GBS
- Assist with the development of local management reports
- Prepare backup info for External

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualified or Part-qualified CIMA, ACCA or similar
* Experience in an Accounting or Controlling environment
* Good understanding of SAP FI and CO modules
* Understanding of SOX 404 compliance
* Advanced Excel skills essential (must be able to demonstrate use of pivot tables, look-ups and filters
Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Excellent organisational skills
* Lotus Notes
