The Role:
I'm currently sourcing on behalf or a global Power Generation client offering a fantastic opportunity for 2 Segment Marketing trainees to based out of our clients United Kingdom HQ in Stone Staffordshire. The successful applicants will receive an excellent training* and mentoring programme while working towards degree level qualifications underwritten by the Chartered institute of Marketing CIM.

The segment marketing team is responsible for developing a deep understanding of the transportation customer audience and their needs and working with key colleagues to develop a scalable marketing strategy to address them. This market includes companies who operate transportation networks and solutions across rail, land, waterborne and airborne segments and encompass both technical and business decision-makers. The team's remit is to understand our business unit strategy, customer needs and building a targeting framework, defining value propositions, program planning, campaign/messaging development and coordinating execution across field marketing teams to deliver results.

Your role will be to support the Segment Marketing Director with clear insights that will validate externally facing programs that drive awareness, service adoption and leads. Additionally, you will work with a range of marketing teams who develop and execute market facing, impactful campaigns. The right candidate will be keen to kickstart an exciting corporate marketing career that places results-driven marketing and partnering with sales teams at the very heart of their work. Your work will support the development and approach to drive growth in new regions and markets. You should have a passion for technology, perhaps some experience with transportation and an attention to detail and focus on getting results.

*Due to the current COVID restrictions training will be delivered virtually

Key responsibilities include:
* Analysis of key market and regional segment data to demonstrate trends, areas of success and recommendations on how to improve organizational insights of the segment
* Supporting the teams commercial process through managing and tracking new sales opportunities and leads
* Perform in depth analysis of major customer accounts, white space / mapping information and recommendations for Account Based Marketing approaches and
* Work with campaigns team to advise on key trends and segment updates as well as to review of campaign metrics and relative impact on a monthly / quarterly and annual basis
* Supporting demand generation and regional marketing teams with day to day campaign support
* Opportunities to get involved in a wide range of projects from across the whole Grid Automation marketing function.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Individuals who are passionate about the role technology can play in shaping the future.
* Minimum GCSE Grade C or above in English, Maths and Science.
* Good computer skills (MS Office suite knowledge desirable).
* Interest and desire to work in a diversity of cultures and backgrounds.
* Takes initiative and ownership for the results they achieve.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Eager to learn and develop both personally and professionally
