The Role:
A multinational power and automation technologies client are looking for an experienced Programme Controller to take responsibility for creating initial program plans, agreeing plans in accordance with current policies and maintaining/monitoring work packages.

Key Responsibilities of the role will include:

* Creating the initial Programme Plan that will include all deliverable Milestones, Internal Milestones and any other feature that will require to be delivered by the Programme
* Establishing an agreed Plan and baseline in accordance with procedures and working practices
* Generating, maintaining and monitoring the progress of Work Packages released to support Programme execution.
* Maintenance of the Schedule in accordance with procedures and working practices.
* Direct liaison with Work Package Leaders / Managers to update the programme schedule for work completed and gathering data to support the construction of estimates to complete
* Establishing the schedule impact of work complete/not complete against programme milestones & make recommendations to help recover programme slip.
* Initiating decision-making to maintain or improve position for updated schedules.
* Updating budgetary information held within the schedule with actual and analyse cost variations. Initiate decision-making to maintain or improve position for updated financial ETC's.
* Updating resource information held within the schedule with actual and analyse resource application variation(s). Initiate decision-making to maintain or improve position for updated Resource Profiles.

The ideal candidate will have hands on working knowledge of scheduling tools Microsoft Project and Primavera. Whilst also having an excellent understanding of programme management and control process including Change Control, Risk Management, Information management and handover. Knowledge of the project life cycle for complex programmes with an understanding of development, production and long term support activity, an understanding of the principles of Earned Value Management is also necessary.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Proficient Primavera P6 experience
* Experience of NEC contracts
* NEC and FIDIC contractual frameworks

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Substation and/or Power industry experience
* APMG Accreditation would be beneficial
