The Role:
This is a role for an experienced technical trainer working in a small team, developing and delivering customer training on a range of our clients mission-critical communication products and their supporting technologies.
The role is based in St Neots, Cambridgeshire. Training may take place at the UK Training Centre in St Neots, at another of our clients sites in the UK or abroad (e.g. Switzerland), at the customer's site, or online. The customer base is international, and occasionally training is delivered in another country, and (less commonly) in a language other than English. The role requires the ability to respond quickly to technical and logistical challenges in a pressured environment.

Fibre-optic transport - SDH/PDH/MPLS-TP.
Telephony - PABX/VoIP.
Data networks - V.24, X.21, Ethernet, TCP/IP.

Role and Responsibilities
1. New Courseware Development - slides (text and graphics) and practical exercises (step-by-step and diagrams). Note: an advanced level of fluency in designing impactful technical training material on PowerPoint is essential
2. Existing Courseware Updates (as per above)
3. Course Delivery on the above Products and Technologies to customers and colleagues at entry, experienced and advanced levels. - Ability to work under pressure with up to 12 students in the classroom. - Good course and class administration and management. - Methodical working and attention to detail on all aspects. - Delivery of 'virtual' training courses with practical content, using online tools: Microsoft Teams and Whiteboard, and remote-control UI software e.g. TeamViewer
4. Training Centre maintenance - keep all aspects of hardware and networking infrastructure in good working order; classroom and storage areas neat and tidy.
5. Stock Control - maintain database of training equipment, storeroom management
6. Software Upgrades - self-teach new technologies, and product software releases, local craft terminal and network management software. Implement new software in training centre as required, and ensure training material is updated accordingly.
7. Course Administration and Preparation - course design (timetable and contents), practical exercises, training infrastructure layout, course administration - daily register, registration form, feedback form, start- of-day quiz, end of course exam, certificates.
8. Customer Site Course Preparation: define requirements and liaise with customer beforehand
9. Post-training customer support
10. Self-teach new technologies and new products
11. Assist and provide consultation services to the Support team (St Neots & elsewhere)
12. Instruct and mentor new employees and trainers, while ensuring that knowledge is exchanged effectively among fellow trainers
13. Represent our client worldwide and be an ambassador for our products

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Autonomous worker but able to integrate into a team when necessary
- Able to travel as and when the business requires for extended period when delivering training
- 5 - 10 years + in a technical training role
- Education - Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Telecommunications Engineering - or similar.
- Training from entry level to advanced showing flair and creativity in their work
- Great Time management skills
-Able undertake self-development and self- learning for new technologies and updates that come out.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Cryptography - X.509, AES, RSA. (preferable
- Delivery of virtual training courses
