The Role:
As Project Engineer, you will be driving safety and be assisting with the planning, design, construction management, and asset management for Civil Engineering project work. In addition, you will also have the opportunity to assist the Well Engineering Construction team with any civil project engineering requirements to relieve excess workload.

* HSSE - Integrate HSSE in the design, programming, and execution of all activities. Actively promote HSSE and Sustainable Development (SD) and ensure compliance with business principles.
* Liaise and negotiate with key stakeholders (Projects and Operations) to manage expectations.
* Apply working knowledge of Civil Engineering for all duties including the requirements of Australian Standards and procedures.
* Conduct safety reviews / audits of State and Local Government controlled roads.
* Participate in updating and writing of policies and procedures.
* Contribute to the project strategy, project execution plan, contract strategy and management systems for project delivery of Well Engineering scopes.
* Prepare tender and contract documentation for civil construction scopes, project work & Well Engineering deliverables.
* Participate in pegging parties and assess the impact of proposed new infrastructure on State and Local Government Controlled Roads.
* Manage and monitor access processes to ensure site staff are provided with timely approvals and Local Government approval is provided when required.
* Assess access to Local Government Roads in accordance with Australian design standards and Local Government requirements.
* Provide civil engineering technical input into design/specifications and construction.
* Manage civil construction contractors for the delivery of project work.
* Ensure effective implementation of project and financial control systems to monitor project progress.
* Contribute to the identification of risks to project delivery and eliminate these risks or implement mitigation measures.

This position is available on a rotational roster flying out of Brisbane, QLD. You will be working 10 Days on 4 Days off, 10 hours per day.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Tertiary Qualifications in Civil Engineering
- Exposure to civil design, construction and execution
- Track record of managing Brownfield and Greenfield Civil Projects

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Experience managing civil contractors
- Strong policy writing and development skills
- Well engineering exposure
