The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Communication Advisor to join a leading, global oil and gas company. This position will see you take on the responsibility for developing and communicating key HSE messages in an effective manner across the Australian business. The role will report directly into and be supported by the projects health & safety manager, some short term travel will be required across operational assets in Queensland to ensure full understanding of current HSE communication strategies and approach.

Main core accountabilities will include but not be limited to:
* Strategic planning associated with improving internal and external communications to effectively imbed learnings into current practises.
* Play a pivotal role in the execution of a global sub-pilot program aimed at engaging and influencing our staff and contractors in effective learning and communication techniques.
* Work closely with the broader HSE team, existing communications team and business unit stakeholders.

To be successful in this role you will have previously worked in the oil and gas or construction industry, ideally in similar role having gained a minimum of five to ten years experience. As part of this assignment we will look to utilise your experience, strong understanding and use of different forms of media gained in previous roles to benefit this specific scope of works. Previous experience in Health and Safety Risk Management Processes and exposure to data analysis will be a distinct advantage, along with a proven track record in achieving results through effective communication models.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Tertiary qualifications within the field of communication or proven experience in effective delivery of projects
* Strong computer literacy skills and knowledge/use of effective engagement tools and techniques
* Demonstrated ability to deliver time critical work under broad direction and work autonomously
* Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
* Strong written and oral communication skills
